korrekte Vorbereitung des Grills, der Rest ist kinderleicht. Stellen Sie eine Alufolieschale in die Mitte des Grills, um austretenden Fleischsaft aufzufangen und ein \u00dcbergreifen der Flammen zu verhindern. Legen Sie anschlie\u00dfend auf jede Seite der Schale 1\u20131,5 kg Holzkohlebriketts. Z\u00fcnden Sie nun mit einem Anz\u00fcndkamin weitere 2 kg Holzkohlebriketts an; diese ben\u00f6tigen 20\u201330 Minuten zum Durchgl\u00fchen.<\/p>\n<p>Sobald die Holzkohle durchgegl\u00fcht ist, verteilen Sie jeweils die H\u00e4lfte auf die Briketthaufen, legen Sie den gew\u00fcrzten Truthahn auf den Grill und schlie\u00dfen Sie den Deckel. Je nach Gewicht ist der Truthahn in 2 bis 4 Stunden gar. Sie k\u00f6nnen aber jede beliebige Marke nehmen. Am wichtigsten ist, dass Sie den gefrorenen Truthahn im K\u00fchlschrank vollst\u00e4ndig auftauen lassen. Das dauert 4\u20135 Tage. Sobald der Truthahn aufgetaut ist und Sie mit dem Grillen beginnen m\u00f6chten, bereiten Sie Ihren Grill vor und z\u00fcnden Sie die Holzkohle an. Nehmen Sie den Truthahn aus dem Netz und dem Beutel, in dem er verpackt war, sp\u00fclen Sie ihn gr\u00fcndlich ab und tupfen Sie ihn anschlie\u00dfend mit K\u00fcchenpapier trocken. Entfernen Sie die Innereien und verwenden Sie sie entweder f\u00fcr die F\u00fcllung und die So\u00dfe oder entsorgen Sie sie; frieren Sie sie nicht wieder ein. W\u00fcrzen Sie den trockenen Truthahn innen und au\u00dfen mit Salz, schwarzem Pfeffer und anderen gew\u00fcnschten Gew\u00fcrzen. Sch\u00fctten Sie die gl\u00fchende Holzkohle auf die nicht angez\u00fcndete Holzkohle und legen Sie den Truthahn direkt auf die Alufolie. Schlie\u00dfen Sie den Deckel. \u00d6ffnen Sie den Grilldeckel in der ersten Stunde nicht; die Haut des Truthahns muss braun und knusprig werden, damit der Saft im Fleisch bleibt. \u00dcberpr\u00fcfen Sie nach der ersten Stunde die Holzkohle und legen Sie gegebenenfalls mehr nach. Denken Sie daran, dass der Truthahn in allen Temperaturzonen eine Kerntemperatur von mindestens 74 \u00b0C erreichen muss. Das bedeutet, dass Schenkel und Unterschenkel bereits fast 93 \u00b0C erreichen, wenn die Truthahnbrust die optimale Kerntemperatur zum Auseinandernehmen erreicht hat.
