Tout d&#039;abord, il faut s&#039;assurer de sa pr\u00e9cision \u00e0 deux degr\u00e9s pr\u00e8s. Pour cela, il est indispensable de l&#039;\u00e9talonner. Il existe deux m\u00e9thodes d&#039;\u00e9talonnage. La premi\u00e8re consiste \u00e0 utiliser la m\u00e9thode de l&#039;eau glac\u00e9e. Remplissez un verre de gla\u00e7ons, puis ajoutez de l&#039;eau. Plongez ensuite la sonde de temp\u00e9rature dans l&#039;eau glac\u00e9e. Une fois la temp\u00e9rature de 0 \u00b0C (32 \u00b0F) atteinte, appuyez sur le bouton de r\u00e9glage (ou tournez la molette sur 0 \u00b0C pour un thermom\u00e8tre manuel). L&#039;\u00e9talonnage est alors termin\u00e9. La seconde m\u00e9thode, moins s\u00fbre, consiste \u00e0 utiliser de l&#039;eau bouillante. Versez de l&#039;eau dans une casserole, portez-la \u00e0 \u00e9bullition, puis plongez la sonde dans l&#039;eau bouillante et appuyez sur le bouton de r\u00e9glage (ou de calibration). Le thermom\u00e8tre se r\u00e9glera alors sur la temp\u00e9rature de l&#039;eau, qui devrait \u00eatre de 100 \u00b0C (212 \u00b0F).
