De spareribs bevinden zich dichter bij de buikstreek en beschermen de ademhalingswegen aan de voorkant, terwijl de babyribs zich dichter bij de wervelkolom bevinden, ofwel de ruggengraat.<\/p>\n<p>Babyribs zijn korter, zachter en bevatten meer vlees. Omdat het borstbeen kleiner is, zijn ze korter. Daardoor is het vlees boven de babyribbetjes malser.<\/p>\n<p>Baby back ribs garen sneller dan spareribs omdat het vlees malser is en de ribben kleiner zijn. Spareribs moeten op een lage temperatuur worden gegaard om uitdroging te voorkomen en kunnen tot 2 uur nodig hebben. Bovendien kunnen ze al binnen een uur op hoge temperatuur gegaard worden.<\/p>\n<p>Spareribs hebben 2 tot 3 uur nodig om perfect te roken. Het proces is verdeeld in drie stappen. Als je malse ribben wilt die zo van het bot vallen, volg dan deze methode.
